Our mentorship program targets girls aged between 12 and 18 years. They are taken through sessions on sexual reproductive health, Gender based violence and FGM Awareness.
The impact of the program is reduced teenage pregnancies, sex working, drug abuse. Empowered girls are able to make better decisions for themselves despite the predominant culture in their community.
2. RESCUE A SISTER PROGRAM
Rescue a sister project is an outreach program aimed at reaching out and helping victims of gender based violence and rape.
Rescue a sister program focuses on rescue, rehabilitation and rebuilding of broken relationships between the beneficiaries and our community.
This program primarily focuses on reforming the beneficiaries through counseling and healing.The program achieves its goals through transformation workshops, trainings, exchange programs, and referrals for special cases.
Through our annual Miss Kibera pageant festivals, we strive to build girls’ self esteem. The festival also empowers more girls to become our ambassadors and advocates who will continue creating awareness on the girl child issues.
